Rain vs. Modular Timber Frame Home Construction

The rain has really been something else in our neck of the woods, hasn't it? And the worst is yet to come this week, as we will be properly drenched on Thursday, if one can believe the weather man.
I was driving by an on-site construction yesterday and seen a crew working on a new house. It was a timber frame home, with floor one going up. Some of the frames of floor 1 were lying on the ground, and some of them were being carried upstairs by the men who looked like some poor little drenched pups.
Made me think about two things:
- If I was a worker having to do my job in weather conditions like this would I do it right, would I make sure the walls I erect are square and placed right, bolts are in nice and secure or would I try and get out of the rain as soon as I can?
- Just what would be the level of damage to the timber and the whole structure during an on-site building process that takes months, so gets soaked countless times before the roof goes on?
Too lucky I didn't have to worry about these things too long, as I made my way back to the factory and checked up on the daily progress of the homes we are building at the moment, safely tucked away in the shed out of the rain.
