Timber Frame Homes
Cristina Timber Frame Home with external block work
Quick process overview
Off-site Modular Timber Frame Construction explained
Off-site modular construction is a method where timber frame houses are built in a factory and the home is delivered to site in completed sections. On-site groundwork can be arranged and managed smoothly within the same time frame, while your home is being built the site can be made ready to receive the superstructure.
Because modular homes are built indoors, they can be completed in a matter of weeks, as opposed to months. They don’t experience the typical on-site delays caused by bad weather. Modular homes must conform to specific rules, guidelines and building codes. Phoenix Homes UK’s modular timber frame houses surpass UK Building Control Regulations and those of a typical new build.
Phoenix Homes UK Modular Timber Frame Homes are delivered to site 97% complete as all structural building work is carried out in our factory, in controlled environment. We have a wide range of designs to choose from, alternatively we can design your house from scratch. The home pictured below is supplied in four parts, each part is finished inside and out (unless customer requires an external skin of block work). Building time is about 19 weeks in our factory, and 6 days fitting on site. Foundations and all ground works (waste and rain water pipe work etc.) needs to be provided. |
